A few years ago, I was doing a lot of research into ways that I could continue to make money as stay at home mom when the time came. There was bookkeeping, copywriting, drop shipping…I could go on. Time and again I ran into two issues: there was either a huge amount of time that I would be trading to make the money or a huge initial investment. Then one day, I ran across an article in my news feed about a woman who started selling digital products on Etsy and ended up making over $1,000/month. So the question is…does is work? Read on to find out what my experience has been over the course of the last two years!
First, what ARE e-printables?
E-Printables are products that a customer can purchase and receive instantly via download, then print at home.
A few examples are sports certificates, planner inserts, grocery list templates, reading trackers, habit trackers…the list goes on and on! I also think it’s important to note that you can expand your shop to include other digital products, such as Excel templates and editable Canva templates.
Why You Need to Start with a Course
When I first landed on this my thought process was “Great! I can make things in Word and Excel then just upload it and everyone will fall in love and I’ll be making thousands in months!”
Well…no.
What I learned a couple of months into my printables journey after purchasing the course was that:
- Not all graphics are eligible for commercial use
- How to use Canva, which is an amazing tool for creating products
- What sells and what doesn’t
- How to list your printables, including how to create listing images
- How to do KEYWORD RESEARCH
And I’m not joking…all of those things are so important if you want to succeed in this side hustle for stay at home moms.

I don’t know the first thing about graphic design. Can I actually make money doing this?
YES! The course takes you through a step by step process that teaches you how to design printable products that people will want to buy.
How much does it cost to start a business on Etsy selling digital products?
Honestly, not much. Most of the systems that they’ll teach you to use like Canva (where you design most of your products) and e-Rank (great for keyword research) have free options. That said, I would say that it is HIGHLY worth spending a few extra dollars a month to get Canva Pro ($10/month) and e-Rank basic ($5.99/month).
Is this actually a way to make passive income?
Yes…but not immediately. Getting your initial products made and listed takes time. There’s also a learning curve when it comes to making products that sell. The nice thing is, however, once your shop is up and running and you have some good products, you don’t have to worry about it!

How much do you make per month doing this?
At this time of writing this review, I’m right at about the 2 year mark since purchasing the course. During that time I would estimate that there were at least 10-12 months where I more or less completely ignored my shop because of life happening. At this point (May 2024) I’m just shy of $9,000 for my total revenue and am averaging $517.52/month in sales since the new year. I know of other sellers who are making over $3,000/month and look forward to joining them one day!

Are there any other major benefits to purchasing the course?
One thing I CANNOT stress enough is the community that comes with this course. After purchase, you will be added to the VIP E-Printables group on Facebook. Honestly, I have probably learned just as much if not more from this group than I did from the course itself. You don’t get lifelong access to the group, however you do have an opportunity to purchase that access. The BEST part (and one which I either overlooked or forgot when I purchased) is that you get pro-rated your cost back after hitting the 100 sales club.
Another perk is having access to the VIP Vault, which provides you with free PLR templates every month ON TOP OF the ones they provide you with in the course.
Is there anything you would change or add to the course?
Honestly? No. This course is so comprehensive, and the community is so incredible. I definitely wouldn’t be where I am right now without joining. The one thing I told them when they sent out a survey to the 100 Club about what we think should be added was more support once you reach the 100 Club. Well, they have since done that and created a monthly membership program called Beyond which focuses on adding additional revenue streams to your business, using AI tools, starting a blog, monetizing your business, and accountability.

Start off with the freebies (of course)! Gold City Ventures provides a great e-book called The Seasonal Products Secret as well as a free e-Printables workshop to get you going. This is huge because they only open the course itself up a few times a year.
